Durability
The Duo is the tougher phone. It is rated IP68 against IP48 and has a titanium frame. Both should get updates until around 2033.
Water and dust:IP68 to 6 metres on the Duo. The Fold8's IP48 covers water but only keeps out solid objects over 1 mm, so dust and sand are a risk.
Frame and glass:Grade 5 titanium with Ceramic Shield 2 on the Duo's cover screen. Armour Aluminium with Gorilla Glass Ceramic 3 on the Fold8's.
Software support:Samsung promises seven years of OS and security updates, to 2033. Apple doesn't publish a date, but launch year plus seven also points to around 2033.
